Anita Winter is the Founder and President of the Gamaraal Foundation in Switzerland.

The foundation supports Holocaust survivors and is engaged in Holocaust education. Anita Winter:

“As the last contemporary witnesses die on us, and when antisemitism is at an all-time high, it is more important than ever to strengthen the remembrance work. »

« The October 7 attacks on Israel and the subsequent spike of anti-Semitism and denial around the world, have shaken every Jew across the world, reminding us of the darkest days of the history of our People.”

Ambassador Meirav Eilon Shahar, Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN :

“The portraits, stories and testimonies of those who survived tell the next generation not just how people died, but how they lived through adversity, and became the glimmers of light in the dark”.

« As the Jewish People suffered its deadliest day on October 7 since the end of Holocaust, and an alarming rise in antisemitism across the world, the stories of those survivors must be ingrained in our minds, to prevent history from repeating itself.”

Delegation of the European Union to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva, Ambassador Julien Thöni :

« Switzerland shares the historical responsibility. The voice of the Holocaust survivors is indeed invaluable.
Their stories also tell their life after the Holocaust: how they continued their life after the big trauma.

Antisemitism has no place in a democratic society, in our society. »
